Mexico customs questions

Start here for common questions about quote requests, shipment preparation and Mexican customs review. Product eligibility, classification and actual costs need review of your own goods and importer arrangement.

Can I request a quote for a business or a personal shipment?

Yes. Choose the audience and import or export direction above. The form asks for the details that fit your shipment.

What if I do not know the classification or customs office?

Describe the goods, their use and where they were made. Leave the HS code blank if unknown and choose ‘Advise me’ for the customs office.

Can I ask about recurring shipments?

Yes. The business form asks about shipment frequency, transport and your current customs arrangements. Include the scale of your operation in the notes.

Should I upload invoices or identification?

No. This form accepts shipment details, not document uploads. Keep documents ready for the specialist’s review and leave identification numbers out of your answers.

Is the form a clearance approval or a final price?

It is a quote request. We review the details, and a customs specialist will contact you about your request.

Does the Broker-Need Check approve my shipment?

No. It organizes a review path from your answers. The result contains preparation guidance and a quote link carrying those answers into an editable form.

Is the Document Checklist Builder a complete legal document list?

No. It is a preparation aid based on the shipment you describe. The specialist reviews the exact documents for your goods, importer and operation.

Who makes the customs filing?

The filing is made by a licensed agente aduanal, a Mexican customs broker. Mexico Customs Broker reviews your quote request; ask about the filing arrangement for your shipment.
